About UsFounded in June 2019, Airstrafe Interactive (www.airstrafeinteractive.com) is an indie Los Angeles game studio developing our debut title, Saleblazers (www.saleblazers.com), a multiplayer shopkeeping survival game slated for winter Early Access release on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1419850/Saleblazers/).

Our Need:
We are seeking talented, motivated, and passionate 3D Environment Artists to join our team to help us ship Saleblazers and develop future projects.
Creating art for Saleblazers will challenge the limits of your creativity, as you will be given a lot of artistic freedom. On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with the art team to create high quality 3D environment assets that ensure an immersive gameplay experience with a world that tells a story. We need someone that can work directly in Unity to set dress and optimize a large open world.
More specifically, you can expect to:
- Create high quality models and textures and 3D Environment Assets including foliage, buildings, terrain, etc.
- Create environment concept artwork with artists to maintain a cohesive art styleImplement props into the game engine
- Optimize assets to fit specific technical requirements with the understanding of draw calls, texture atlas, memory, etc.
- Ensure performance and technical quality of 3D environment assets
- Setup destruction, dynamic objects and other functionality of art assets
You will succeed if you have:
- 1+ years relevant full-time professional work experience
- 1+ shipped games credited as 3D Environment Artist or equivalent
- Strong experience with Unity
- Proficiency with ZBrush, Maya, Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Photoshop, 3DCoat
- Adaptability and a keen eye for composition, shape, color and detail
- Experience with non-PBR cartoonish low poly 3D game art
- A proactive personality that relishes working independently and delivers results on time
- Strong communication skills and an optimistic attitude
- Passion for playing and making games
