About Us
Founded in June 2019, Airstrafe Interactive (www.airstrafeinteractive.com) is an indie Los Angeles game studio developing our debut title, Saleblazers (www.saleblazers.com), a multiplayer shopkeeping survival game slated for winter Early Access release on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1419850/Saleblazers/).

Our Need:
We are seeking talented, motivated, and passionate Game Designers to help us ship Saleblazers and develop our future projects. Saleblazers is a dynamic game featuring system-based design and a multiplayer open world sandbox. Any item in Saleblazers can be used as a weapon or can be sold as merchandise!

You will own the design and creation of new mechanics and dynamics created from both new and pre-existing systems. On a day-to-day basis, you will work closely with artists, programmers, producers, and other designers to develop and turn your ideas for Saleblazers into executable projects. You will be responsible for prioritizing, assigning, following up on, and monitoring design tasks while liaising with other departments to ensure everyone is on task and following the game design and story template.

More specifically, you can expect to:
- Implement in-engine cutscenes using custom tools and LUA scripting in Unity
- Design side quests, combat encounters, shopkeeping systems, and scenarios
- Collaborate with other designers to deliver quality narrative beats through cutscenes and gameplay
- Write a variety of scenarios ranging from heavy/serious to slice of life with branching dialogue choices
- Work with artists to set dress open-world and cutscene environments
- Prefab implementation for gameplay items and narrative cutscenes
- Run playtest sessions and gather data for gameplay/narrative iteration
- Collaborate with art, design, audio and programming teams to reach project goals
- Debug and provide feedback on in-game systems
- Solve problems that affect production’s objectives with regards to game design
- Analyze capacity to schedule and prioritize design tasks to achieve project goals on time
- Understand player needs and ensure an engaging player experience
- Collaborate with other departments to develop high-level plans and schedules
- Review completed design tasks in collaboration with production and other departments
- Maintain documentation 

You will succeed if you have:
- 1+ years relevant full-time professional work experience
- 1+ shipped titles credited as Game Designer or equivalent
- Experience using the Unity Engine
- Knowledge of C# programming and practices
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
-Extensive experience and knowledge in game design and production
- Experience leading a team
- Experience in multiplayer design
-Strong problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to multiplayer systems
- Strong task, schedule, and time management skills
- Strong organization, analytical, management, and planning skills
- A personality that is proactive and independent
- Passion for playing and making games
- Production experience and expertise
- Excellent “soft skills,” particularly as a leader
- Cross platform experience using the Unity Engine
